Yoga Teacher Sonia McInerney

Sonia started practicing yoga at the age of 17 and fell in love with what the practice exposed within her. Her previous background in sports and dance hadn’t given her the same opportunity that yoga showed her which was the tools necessary to go inward. Sonia teaches Vinyasa Flow style and loves to mix in her creativity of movement with the knowledge she obtained from therapeutic techniques to aid in healing oneself as well as a incorporating it as a preventative form of injury. Sonia’s playful manner and unique combinations of asanas and breath work are always met with a deep sense of professional and respect for the ancient practice that is Yoga. Sonia has experience teaching in Toronto, Canada before moving to teach full time in a retreat setting here in Portugal. You can now find Sonia teaching at two studios in Portugal, as well as offering guided meditations and one one one sessions.

Yoga Teacher Miri Shalini

Miri has made it her soul-mission to guide her students towards self exploration and self acceptance. Maintaining and demystifying the true essence of Yoga as a universal technique to encourage a deeper self-awareness.  Miri has been practising Yoga for over 16 years, it has been part of her life in various shapes since then. Through her Sri Lankan background, she came across Meditation practices at a very early age. In an ever growing world full of distractions and digital saturation, she has increasingly realised the importance of practicing focused attention and the value of reconnecting with your inner core.  While living in the UK, she intensively studied the Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras with Scientist and Vedic Philosopher Acharya Harish Chandra of ‘The Centre for Inner Sciences’, a UK based charity. Miri also studied various Yoga styles in the UK, India, Vietnam, South Korea, Germany & Portugal and is currently focused on Vinyasa and YinYang styles.  While she also enjoys other movement training such as Tai Chi, Animal Flow, HIT, Muay Thai & Thai Massage, she playfully integrates inspirations from different movement styles to spice up her sequences.  Miri has loved teaching Yoga in the UK, Portugal, Germany and virtually across the globe. She was also part of the Yoga Teacher Training team in Thailand, teaching the Philosophy of Yoga and Āsana.

Yoga Teacher Jaquelina Sio

Jaquelina was born in Macau and moved to Portugal in 2013. This lead to her being fluent in multiple languages such as English, Portuguese, Cantonese and Mandarin. Always curious about movement and control of the body, she began her journey in yoga in 2018. At first she was drawn by the physical benefits, but soon enough, she felt the inward development that yoga brings to both the mind and soul. Jaquelina became a 200hr certified teacher by Yoga alliance at Spanda Institute in July 2021 and began teaching Spanda vinyasa and Yin.  Jaquelina has continued her studies in 2022 currently undertaking Prenatal Yoga Training. Ines B Website

Yoga Teacher Ines Barbosa

Ines started her Yoga journey in 2018. She tried different Yoga styles and teachers that moulded her vision of Yoga and made her understand what she liked about it. She understood that Yoga went beyond physical exercise (or Asanas), and her discovery of Yoga went in parallel with the discovery of herself and a healthier lifestyle. In fact, when studying Yoga philosophy, she found the Yama “Ahimsa” or the “non-violence” principle of Yoga, that resonated with her own vision of the world, in particular regarding her nutrition and relationship with animals and nature. By teaching Yoga Ines hopes to spread the message of compassion towards oneself and other beings: “lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu”. Ines has completed a 500hr Yoga Teacher Training credited by Yoga Alliance (February-December 2019). In January 2020 she started her teaching journey and continued her Yoga training as she still considers herself a student. Over the last 2years Ines has attended an Acroyoga solar immersion with Acroyoga International, together with Aerial Yoga training. She undertook a 45hr training with Jai Sugrim (Jivamukti Yoga teacher) and Trauma Informed Yoga with Fundación Radika plus more. All this knowledge and practice helped her to build her unique dynamic teaching style including a specific focus on breathing synchronization.

Emma WebsiteYoga Teacher Emma Geffrault

Discovering yoga in 2016 was the beginning of a new chapter for Emma. A year later she left Paris in order to explore and heal herself through yoga practice, hiking and traveling. In 2019, she joined the community Earth Yoga Village in India and became a 200h Hatha/ Vinyasa & 100h Yin/ Nidra certified teacher by Yoga Alliance. The same year, she participated in a Zen retreat at Bodhi Zendo and a Vipassana retreat in Jaipur.  Emma is currently (2022) studying Power yoga with Inner Dimension studio, an holistic dynamic flowing sequence in rhythm with the breath. She looks forward to sharing all these yogic teachings into her classes- Donation Classes Tuesday 9:30am.

Elena WebsiteYoga Teacher Elena Orth

Elena fell in love with Yoga on her first trip to India in 2012. It soon shifted into a lifestyle that opened her eyes to what lies underneath the surface of mundane day to day living.  An Asana is not just a body posture, but a system of push and pull forces, a story of cause and effect, a moving construct built on a solid foundation. She is fascinated by the complexity of the human being and uses movement as the seed that will grow into any facet of transformation we set our mind towards.  Her curiosity led her to India many times to study Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow, as well as to, later on, assist and teach in the teacher trainings. Being a forever student, she complemented her experience with trainings in Yin Yoga and Rocket Vinyasa, collecting more than 650h of education.  Elena’s teaching style is fluid and creative with a focus on transitions. She puts a strong emphasis on building consistent strength to safely explore flexibility while educating her students on their individual movement patterns and alignment. She loves to blend the different paces and intensities of her different styles into storytelling sequences of what defines Yoga for her: a journey from the obvious to the subtle, from control to flow, and from without to within.

Daya WebsiteYoga Teacher Daya Lupinacci

Daya guides yoga classes with a focus on self-knowledge, using the body as a bridge to connect with our own unique inner universe. Growing up in a yoga and eastern studies centre, Daya has a background in different styles of yoga, meditation, and spiritual practices. Including but not limited to Kundalini (400+hrs), Vinyasa (200hrs), Yin (60hrs), Tantric, Restorative, Meditations and also facilitates courses in Chair Yoga.
She likes saying yoga philosophy is part of her, which is reflected in her work, always aiming to bring it to her teaching, with a mindful but dynamic, creative, and nurturing approach. Her intention is to hold space for people to learn more about themselves through the combination of different techniques, ancient and modern.
